Poems About Life – A Mom’s Unconditional Love

Monday, October 3rd, 2011

You can slash it… smash it
Do all you can to trash it
But is your mother’s love all gone?
Uh uh, it still lives on

You can crush it… hush it
Even try to flush it
But will it disappear?
Uh, uh, it’s still right here

You can poke it… choke it
Make a great big joke of it
When you’re holier than thou
Mom loves you anyhow

You can spit on it… s–t on it
Have a hissy fit on it
Does mom’s love go away?
Uh uh, it’s here to stay

You can crunch it… punch it
Maybe lose your lunch on it
Decide to turn your back
But mom loves you, that’s a fact

You can shake it… forsake it
Do all you can to break it
You’re turning 25
And my love is still alive
This is one of many poems about life that tells it like it is.

Rhyming Poems – A Great Way To Get Your Message Across.

Monday, October 3rd, 2011

My best friend Bonnie was very surprised when she got a series of rhyming poems from her husband by snail mail.  He was away on a business trip and apparently went to a lot of trouble to give her a special message.  You might think it was about love, but it wasn’t and she was pretty stunned.

Each day she got a poem complaining about the lack of sex in their marriage.  The first one practically knocked her off her feet because she wasn’t expecting it.  She thought everything was okay between them and that with a new baby and lack of sleep he wasn’t in the mood any more than she was.

But, she couldn’t have been more wrong.  He apparently felt rejected, unloved and hurt.  That was what the rhyme conveyed in the first poem.  She felt stunned by his accusations of neglect and we talked about it for hours.  She told me she would try to do better when he got back from his business trip.

The next day another rhyme arrived in the mail.  In a way it was even worse than the first because he accused her of not caring about herself, either.  He said she must have stopped loving him because she wasn’t dressing up for him and looking sexy like she used to.  Now she was getting angry.  With the baby crying every three hours he expected her to look sexy?

By the third poem it was starting to sound like they were on the verge of a breakup.  She began feeling really hurt and scared about being left with a baby to take care of without a husband.  She had no way of reaching him and he wasn’t calling like he promised.  Just sending these disturbing messages.

On the fourth day she got the feeling he might be looking for love elsewhere.  She became frantic with jealousy.  She made me promise to stay with the baby the next day while she got a manicure and pedicure.  Of course I agreed, even though I wasn’t used to infants.  Luckily she went between feedings and the baby slept right through.

The fifth poem asked her to give their relationship a lot of thought.  It wasn’t exactly a threat, but she felt that she needed to put a lot of effort into paying attention to him if she wanted to keep him.  She was determined to feeding his starving manhood.  Obviously she’d fallen in love with the baby and he was feeling like just another piece of furniture hanging around.

I babysat again that day while she got her hair done and shopped for a sexy nightie.  She bought pink light bulbs that were supposed to make everyone look better and she changed every bulb in the house.  She even splurged and bought a bottle of champagne.  Thank goodness she wasn’t breastfeeding.

When he finally got home she was ready for him.  She threw her arms around him and told him how much she loved him.  While he was in the shower she put out delicious goodies to eat and poured the champagne.

The next day I called her and knew right away that she’d fixed her relationship.  She let me know that it had been a very romantic night and she was going to try to do this at  least once a week no matter how tired she was.

Without having an actual knockdown, drag out fight he’d gotten his message across.  All it took was some rhyming poems!

Famous Love Poems – Let Your Heart Speak Out!

Friday, September 30th, 2011

If you think copying one of the famous love poems in existence will impress your special someone, think again.  Sure, you may get points for even having had such a romantic idea, but maybe you can do better.

Pretend for a moment that you are a writer and are able to say everything that’s in your heart, in clever rhyme.  You could then describe your feelings for your loved one exactly, in your own words. You could take a walk down memory lane, reliving all the wonderful times you’ve shared, and expressing how your lover has changed your life forever.

Imagine getting a personalized rhyme all about yourself.  Don’t we all love to hear how wonderful we are?  Of course we do.  And probably most of us don’t get to hear it often enough.

Recently my friend, an ex Las Vegas showgirl, had a special birthday.  Her boyfriend gave her the most amazing present.  It was a delicious tribute talking about her long legs, gorgeous face and sexy body. This same friend received some pretty nice gifts for that major occasion, including the very cool watch I gave her, but all she could talk about was the rhyme from her boyfriend.  It made her feel like a million bucks.

And, even though she suspected he couldn’t have written it himself, it really made her day.  He definitely was the hero of the night and he spent a lot less on his gift than the rest of us did.

Later on he confided in us that he’d been surfing the internet looking for famous love poems, hoping to find exactly the right thing.  He found beautifully crafted ones but none fit her perfectly.

Just when he was giving up hope he stumbled on a ghost writer whom he ended up hiring to write a totally custom written rhyme for his stunning girlfriend.  It totally captured his feelings for her and didn’t even cost much.

Next time an important occasion comes along, instead of trying to choose from an array of famous love poems, try it hiring an inexpensive but talented ghost writer.  You will be glad you did.

Poems About Life – An Expression Of Love

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Poems about life, if written from the heart, can touch the recipient and lift his or her spirits beyond all imagination.  Let’s say a loved one is having a birthday.  You, of course, would want to express your feelings in an original way.

Do you run to the nearest greeting card store and pore over one card after another, looking for just the right thing? You’ve probably been going down that road for years.  Sure, there are some lovely cards out there.  But, when all is said and done, it’s still a store bought card.  Better than nothing, of course.

Still, nothing can beat giving a message that is truly personal.  Wouldn’t it be nice to write something yourself, saying say how important this person is to you and why?  Imagine saying it in your own words, and rhyming it besides?

You’d be able to bring up secrets you share that mean the world to you both, memories that bring a twinkle to the eye, perhaps even an emotional tear or two. What fun to give a tribute that is full of fun and mischief, with a dash of sentimentality mixed in.  Words that capture the essence of your relationship will be cherished more than any expensive gift you could ever buy.

And imagine being the recipient of a custom-written birthday wish that rhymes.  Really, no other gift can beat that.  It makes a person feel on top of the world. But how to begin going about writing such a birthday card?  First you get out your pen and pad.  Then you sit and stare at the blank page.  Ideas begin to flow, but when you write them down they don’t seem as clever or entertaining as you would like.

So now what do you do?  After several false starts you go to a rhyming dictionary.  After a couple of hours you become frustrated. And the more frustrated you get, the harder it is.

Wouldn’t it be better to spare yourself a lot of stress?  Wouldn’t you rather pour yourself a glass of wine, put your feet up and relax, while someone else write it? You’ll be amazed at what a talented rhymer can do with the facts you provide.

There are people out there who can capture exactly what you’re trying to say. And the way they can do it in clever rhyme will make your head spin. Try going on the internet and doing a search. Look up poems about life.  You’ll be able to find just what you’re looking for and it probably won’t
even cost you much.

Letting an expert weave your words into a magical custom-written poems about life or  tribute sounds good, doesn’t it?  And you get to take all the credit.

Rhyming Poems – Cleverly Custom-Written For All Occasions

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Every time someone important to you has an event to celebrate there you are, wishing you could think of an original present.  In the past you’ve done it all.  Flowers.  Chocolate bon bons.  Balloon bouquets. Now you’re looking for a this-is-your-life type tribute for your parents’ 50th anniversary.  Better think about rhyming poems.

It’s a formidable challenge, you soon find out, because when you try to write down  the story of their marriage your words don’t do it justice.  So if you want to throw your folks a memorable party and have a special tribute to read to them, here’s what you’re going to have to do.

MAKE A LIST

Write down what you know about how they met.  Your folks have probably told you that story more times than you can remember.  Then make a list of your dad’s attributes.  Your mom’s attributes. Examples would be:  who is funny?  Strict?  Kind?  Anything unusual would enrich the story you will tell.

INTERVIEW

If they have siblings you should interview each one.  Talk to their friends, relatives, colleagues, whoever you can get your hands on.  If you yourself have siblings they are probably going in on this gift with you.  Ask each one to make their own list.  You might be amazed at the picture that begins to come together.  By talking with all these people you’ll pick up plenty of gems to flesh out the story.

MAKE AN OUTLINE

Now that you’ve gathered all the different viewpoints from others,  make an outline of their lives from the beginning to the present.  Take all the good and, in case there’s anything not meant to be shared with the world, cross it out.  This tribute is supposed to leave them laughing, maybe wiping away a sentimental tear or two, feeling  happy and satisfied that they’ve had a wonderful marriage and that they are beloved.

FIND A POET

Your next challenge is to search on the  internet for a poet who will be able to do justice to all this great information you’ve put together.  Find out what it will cost, whether the poet is willing to make changes if you’re not satisfied with something, how long it will take, making sure they will be able to meet your deadline.

DELIVERY METHOD

You don’t want to rely on the postal service.  The easiest, fastest way of course is email, so find someone who will email you the finished product.

It’s good to remember the old saying:  “garbage in, garbage out.”  This means that you need good information to give your poet.  You’ll love giving rhyming poems and your people will love receiving them.

Celebrate Special Moments With Poems About Life

Monday, September 19th, 2011

Everyone has milestones to celebrate and we have the perfect way to do it.  We write poems about life; custom-written toasts, tributes, invitations, etc… for the person you want to honor.

Be it a birthday, anniversary, retirement or any other occasion, we can write it for you.  And the best part is, we do it in clever rhyme.  Nothing delights people more than receiving a wonderful tribute written especially for and about them.  You can even let them even think you wrote it yourself if you so choose.

Most people are unable to write these poems about life because rhyming is a gift.  It’s not something one can learn to do.  Either you have the gift or you don’t.  And if you don’t, consider yourself lucky to have found rhymeshop because the poems we turn out are second to none.

We have a knack for capturing your feelings exactly and you will be thrilled with our work.  We don’t quit until you’re happy with the poems about  life we offer.  Don’t be surprised to find out the honoree has it framed and prominently displayed in their home or office.  It is a gift that will be treasured for all time.

Poems About Life

Monday, September 19th, 2011
Have you ever wished you were good at writing rhyming poems about life?  If you were, you could entertain your
friends and relatives on all their special occasions.  Let’s say your brother is getting married and you want to read
him a special toast at the wedding reception.  So many times people are asked to give a toast and when the time
comes they make complete fools of themselves.
How can this be?  Well, part of it is nervous tension.  They say people fear public speaking more than death!
And, if you don’t have something clever to say, your stress level will be even higher.  Just imagine standing
before a crowd shaking like a leaf, wishing the ground would open and swallow you up, before you make a
complete fool of yourself.
Now if you’re a good writer you can just compose a  nice speech, full of sentiment, humor and good will. And
you’re certainly allowed to refer to some notes.  If you rehearse it enough you should be able to pull it off and do a
decent job.
If, however, you want to shine and be the life of the party, you need to give a clever and delightful original toast in
rhyme.  Should you have what it takes, fine.  But if not, you need someone to write it for you.  Here at rhymeshop
that’s what we do.  We create rhyming poems about life for special occasions all day long and we’ve been doing it
for years.
You tell us what you want to say in your own words and we email you back a magical rhyme.  No job is  too big or
too small.  What’s more we’re fast, inexpensive and a pleasure to work with.

Friendship Poem

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

To Sally,

I can’t get over  our rapport

And how this friendship’s grown

I feel so close to you

Like you’re a friend I’ve always known

You’re just the dearest, kindest, warmest

Most considerate gal I know

It’s surely no surprise

That everybody loves you so

Your sense of humor can’t be beat

I laugh ’til I could cry

We’re such a combination

Everyone must think we’re high!

And each vacation that we’ve shared

Has been the greatest kick

If ever I was shipwrecked

You’re the one friend I’d pick

To someone who’s observant

We seem klutzy, I suppose

But when we won the tournament

We sure came off like pros

One thing  I so admire

Is a girl who really sews

The fashions you create

Speak for your flawless taste in clothes

And what a super mother

Meg and Dora will attest

And as devoted wives go

Richard knows he’s got the best

You’re very conscientious

About everything you do

But once you took a trip

Forgetting Richard’s clothes, it’s true

What boundless energy you have

Your stamina’s first rate

So busy yet you find the time

To work in real estate

I’m luckier than anyone

To have a friend like you

Here’s to your health and happiness

You deserve the moon, you do!

Sugar Freak

Saturday, June 13th, 2009
SWEET  ANITA

Sweet Anita nagged for candy
Every single day
She knew it made her hyper
But she craved it anyway

She waited late one afternoon
‘Til mother wasn’t looking
And dumped a sack of sugar
Right into the cooking

That evening during dinner
Sweet Anita started spinning
And throwing gobs of food
But that was only the beginning

She toppled over furniture
And swung from chandeliers
Anita’s mother said:
“You’ve eaten sugar, it appears.”

She scolded Sweet Anita
For starting such a riot
“From this day forth,” she told her
“No more candy in your diet!”
